This adorable spinning wheel was too large for the scale I work in - 1:12. My idea was that the wheel would be an ok size for the scale I work in if it is a walking wheel.
The first step after having a plan, is following through. haha.
Using rubbing alcohol, the glued parts are soaked so they can be removed.
A little wooden button was glued on the middle of the wheel which will be varnished later.
Cutting down the legs and reattaching.
Making the front part which is a little more challenging. The angle looks good.
Finishing the front part that will have the string attached to the wheel. A little cotton thread to go around the wheel, and a tiny amount of yellow wool is wrapped around the spindle.
Hope you like it! It was enjoyable to modify. It goes to show you that if you use your imagination, some out of scale items can still be used for your dollhouse.
