Dollhouse miniature lamp #2 for the common room

 Here is a photo of the next lamp I will try to recreate in miniature. It usually sits on the dresser to the right of the arch doorway that leads to the dorm rooms.

This poor lamp is disassembled for the column and base.

Glueing a washer to the font. The little ball of clay will go on top of the washer to form the font cap.

Crocheted hand towels

Every Christmas I like to make a little gift to the management at the store I work at. Just a small token of appreciation for all their hard work throughout the year. This is what was made for Christmas 2021.

The first thing to do is find some nice hand towels. I found some nice ones at the dollar store.  I used a dowel and pinned it to the middle of the towel.

Using the blanket stitch with yarn using a darning needle.

Using the blanket stitch as a foundation, start single crochet along the row.

Continue for 2 inches, then start reducing.

Reduce down to an odd number of stitches. 

Continue crochet for 4-5 inches. on next row, scip the middle stitch for a button hole. You may have to do this for two rows. Crochet for 2 more rows and finish off.
